terms of use
what we owe you, what you owe us, and how either side walks away. no clause here exists to trap you — if one reads that way, tell us and we will fix the wording.

01who we are
looz rents virtual servers. the machines run on capacity we buy from another infrastructure provider — named in the privacy policy — while we build our own. we are a small operation, not a corporation with a support department, and everything below is written on that basis.
we are not yet an incorporated company. that matters to you in one practical way: we cannot accept card payments and cannot issue a vat invoice. we say so here rather than letting you discover it at checkout.
02what we promise
- we promise only what we control. your machine runs on another provider’s cloud today, so how densely their hardware is packed is not ours to promise — and we will not resell their marketing as our guarantee.
- a person replies to support within three working hours. miss that and the month is free — you claim it by writing to us, not by filing anything.
- snapshots you can take yourself at any time, at no charge. there is no automatic backup and we do not bill you for one.
- the price you see is the price you pay. we do not raise the price of a plan you already run without 30 days notice.
03what you promise
- you give us a real, working contact. anonymous signups are what bring spam and get whole networks blacklisted — including the network your server shares.
- you keep your own copies of anything you cannot lose. we do not run a backup for you.
- you do not use the server for anything in the acceptable use policy, and you are responsible for what your customers do on it too.
- you keep your account credentials to yourself. we will never ask for your password.
04money
services are prepaid monthly. we charge when you order and every 30 days after. the balance is topped up in advance; every movement is in the ledger in your panel, and that ledger is what the balance is computed from.
- if the machine does not work as described in the first week, we refund it in full and without a conversation.
- otherwise there are no unused days to refund: you pay for the hours the machine existed, and billing stops when you delete it.
- if your balance runs out, the machine keeps running for three days, then it is powered off. it is not deleted, and the disk is not wiped.
- we delete nothing for non-payment without writing to you first.
05ending it
you cancel by deleting the service in the panel. it takes one click and no conversation — no retention call, no form, no notice period.
we may terminate an account for a violation of the acceptable use policy. except where the law or an ongoing attack forces our hand, we write first and give you a chance to fix it. in either case you can ask for your data, and we will help you get it out.
06limits
we are liable up to what you paid us in the last 12 months. we are not liable for your lost profit, lost customers, or the consequences of data you did not back up yourself. this is the standard limit for hosting at this price, and pretending otherwise would be a lie you could not collect on anyway.
07changes
when these terms change materially, we write to you 30 days ahead. the date at the top is the date of the current version. we do not backdate.
questions about any of this go to hello@looz.cloud, and a person answers.
